LightTrans group is based in Jena in the state of Thuringia, the historical and present center of optics in Germany. Our products and services shorten or even enable development cycles of optical components and systems. All our activities are based on the Fast Physical Optics design software “VirtualLab Fusion”, which provides ray tracing and physical optics field tracing methods. VirtualLab Fusion – Fast Physical Optics modelling and design software
All the products and services of LightTrans are based on the physical optics design software “VirtualLab Fusion”, which provides ray tracing and physical optics field tracing methods. Light is represented by electromagnetic fields and diffraction, interference, polarization effects and aberrations are taken into account during the engineering process of optical elements and systems.
Applications include the waveoptical design and analysis of laser systems; control of ultrashort pulses; shaping, splitting and diffusing of light by diffractive optical elements; homogenization and shaping of LED and Excimer laser light; design of gratings and optimization of laser resonators.
