Photonics West 2013
05 - 07 February 2013
Moscone Center
San Francisco, USA
North America's largest exhibition of industry-leading companies features about
1,220 exhibiting companies. This year over 20,000 attendees are expected from
around the world to explore the latest innovations in light-driven research and
technologies. About 4,400 research papers have been submitted and professional development workshops, some special forums
and industry panels will be awaiting the visitors. Industry -perspective events
will include roundtable and panel discussions on commercial prospects and
potential applications for silicon photonics, optoelectronics, green photonics and
other topics.
The range of exhibition technologies will vary from laser sources and systems,
optical components and material, IR sources and detectors, cameras and sensors,
electronic imaging components to fiber optic systems, optical coatings, lenses
and filters, positioning and mounts as well as metrology.
Cluster Groups and Pavilions are becoming more and more important and
contribute significantly to the exhibitions success. In 2013, Photonics West is
expecting four cluster booths from the U.S. and international pavilions from
several countries, such as Canada, China, France, the Netherlands, Japan,
Scotland, the United Kingdom and Germany.
The comprehensive technical program features five symposia: Biomedical Optics
(BiOS), Lasers
and Applications (LASE), MOEMS-MEMS- Micro- and Nanofabrication and
Optoelectronic Materials, Devices, and Applications (OPTO).
For
the third time, the Green Photonics
Virtual Symposium will highlight papers from each of the Photonics West
subsymposia that present research on energy sources and efficiencies.
